About the artist
Born in Casper, Wyoming, Cecilia Robertson lived her early life in the American West: Wyoming, Colorado and Texas. She spent her school years in Louisiana and graduated from Rhodes College in Tennessee. Graduate studies and family ties brought her back to Texas where Cecilia enjoyed a twenty year career as a clinical psychologist in Fort Worth and Dallas. During her first career she also prepared for her next- a career as artist- In 1992 she began fifteen years of focused study with painting teachers and mentors. In 2012 her career in art returned her to the West where she lives and works in Santa Fe, New Mexico. As a lover of the wilderness Cecilia finds special satisfaction painting en “plein air” which combines her desire to paint with opportunities to experience nature first hand. Cecilia considers nature’s presence to be a source of wholeness and healing needed by all. Through her painting she hopes to share some of nature’s balm. Her work has been collected internationally and she has exhibited and won awards in juried shows from Texas to California.
