FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 6, 5:00PM-7:00PM

David Drummond employs a great sensitivity to light in his watercolor painting. Formerly a scientist who explored light, he utilizes his scientific background to inform his creative process in capturing natural landscapes. Spending time on the waters of Lake Powell in Nevada, he often captures the images in situ, painting the intense colors of the red rocks set against the blue skies and water.

SCULPTURE MONTH ON HISTORIC CANYON ROAD

Join us for the first annual Sculpture Month on Historic Canyon Road. During the final week of May, beginning on Memorial Day weekend (May 25-27), noted western bronze artist, Scott Rogers, figurative bronze sculptor, Vala Ola and whimsical small animal bronze artist, Kim Kori, will be at Sage Creek Gallery.

Each will be getting their hands dirty with clay as they demonstrate their unique talents. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn from them and understand what is involved in creating bronze works from start to finish. Bronze is an art form that has been part of our human history since 3500 BCE, and it often begins with clay. The hands of the artists infuse their pieces with energy and emotion. Join us to meet our artists, each with their own beautiful styles.
