After the Split finds DiBenedetto in a contemplative mood, the title suggesting a moment of division — a fruit cut open, a branch broken, a composition organized around the moment after something has been separated into its parts. The square format gives the painting a balanced, resolved quality, the subject rendered with the precision and warmth that defines her still life work.

Original oil, 14"H × 14"W. Available through Sage Creek Gallery.
