Blackberry Lily Pods turns to the dramatic seed pods of the blackberry lily — the spent flower's transformation into a cluster of glossy black seeds that give the plant its common name. DiBenedetto renders this botanical subject with a painter's delight in its graphic quality, the dark seeds against the warm background creating a composition of striking visual contrast and natural elegance.

Original oil, 20"H × 16"W. Available through Sage Creek Gallery.
