A towering thunderhead catches the last gold of sunset as it rises over the Sandia Mountains, the full moon already climbing the lavender dusk sky above. Cecilia Robertson captures this dramatic New Mexico twilight with an almost theatrical palette — the cloud blazing amber and orange against cool purples and blues, the cottonwood treeline below holding steady in the gathering dark.

About the artist

Born in Casper, Wyoming, Cecilia Robertson lived her early life in the American West: Wyoming, Colorado and Texas. She spent her school years in Louisiana and graduated from Rhodes College in Tennessee. Graduate studies and family ties brought her back to Texas where Cecilia enjoyed a twenty year career as a clinical psychologist in Fort Worth and Dallas.
