Speckled Helleborus turns to one of the garden's most quietly beautiful flowers — the hellebore, with its nodding head and intricate interior markings. DiBenedetto renders the speckled petals with a botanist's precision and a painter's warmth, the flower's subtle complexity rewarding the close attention that the painting invites. A work for collectors who appreciate the beauty of things that don't announce themselves.

Original oil, 16"H × 20"W. Available through Sage Creek Gallery.
