Sunday Comics and Sunflowers is DiBenedetto at her most playful — a large square painting that brings together the cheerful geometry of sunflowers and the nostalgic pleasure of the Sunday funnies in a composition full of color, pattern, and good humor. It is a painting about the simple pleasures of a Sunday morning, rendered with the technical skill of a serious painter who knows how to have fun with her subject.

Original oil, 24"H × 24"W. Available through Sage Creek Gallery.
