Trio in Red organizes three subjects around the unifying force of a single color — the warmth and intensity of red bringing together whatever DiBenedetto has chosen to place in conversation. Whether the trio is fruit, flowers, or vessels, the painting is built around the visual pleasure of red in its many variations, from the deep crimson of a ripe tomato to the bright scarlet of a poppy. A painting that commands attention without demanding it.

Original oil, 14"H × 18"W. Available through Sage Creek Gallery.
